One of the best aspects of a perennial garden is its ability to thrill us with a cornucopia of blooms with very little additional effort on our part. Adrian Bloom shows gardeners how to create outdoor “rooms” of flowering drama, highlighted by bursts of color, texture and height certain to thrill even the casual observer. Using the “sacred twelve plants”, such as black mondo grass, hosta Francee, geranium Rozanne, bugbane, silver grass and crocosmia Lucifer, for example, the author showcases a host of appealing gardening options. Whether one has a small plot of land or acres of private sanctuary, this book will help any gardener make the most of it.
