Our library has this book in the romance collection, and let me just say it doesn't belong there. People who pick this book up expecting a happy romance are destined to be disappointed. This is, however, a great chick lit book (read should be in fiction). Higgins does an excellent job creating memorable and believable characters in Jenny and Rachel. I enjoyed how she even developed the stories of several of the side characters. Both these ladies have problems, this book is about their journeys. Yes there is somewhat of a romantic interest for Jenny, but he has his own issues. The pacing for this book varies. Some parts seem fast and others seem to go much slower. The story is interesting and drama lovers will find plenty to interest them in this book. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, this is an interesting read. While Higgins does usually write romance, this is more of a book of self discovery for the two sisters than a true romance.
