In a place once known as North America, in the ruins of the lands lies the nation of Panem. A glorified Capitol surrounded by twelve districts. The Capitol is cruel and holds power over the districts by forcing each district to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen each year to participate in the lethal Hunger Games. The game is a literal fight to death that is televised on tv live over Panem. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen never thought she would live to see the day she would be put in the Hunger Games, but that changes when her younger sister Primrose was picked. Katniss bravely steps forwards and volunteers in Primrose's place. Katniss has always been close to dead before and she's always managed to survive the worst. This is all a second nature to her. Katniss needs to win so she can be there for her family and friends, so she is forced to make choices that pit survival against love. Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favour.
