important : relevant to Canadian income tax treatment, so this is one of few current (2011-ish) and excellent Canadian investment strategy resources in book format - Everything you ever wanted to know (and should know whether you think to ask or not) about Mutual Funds, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) and Real-Estate Investment Trusts (REIT): if you own any of these, might inherit them, or want to buy these for your regular savings (ie investment) account, Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) or Retirement Savings (RSP) Account, read this book: tons of good info herein, especially in regards to taxation and timing of purchases, holding periods and sales, pricing considerations and makeup, past, upcoming and potential tax law changes which might affect your investment dollar value, etc. Bit of a sales job for Mutuals, ie should have "Mutual Funds" as part of title or tag line, but if you<re into Mutual Funds, as most investors are, read this, learn from it, it's complete, comprehensive and well-written.
