A triumph in every way!
Jim Dale creates a superb narration for this magnificent series.
The Deathly Hallows is the last in this seven-part saga,
the first British fantasy novel ever to compare with Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.
This series has single-handedly restored the value of reading
to an entire generation of young people,
for which the author has been quite properly awarded both
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
and The Order of the Companions of Honour.
And speaking of things British,
the UK audiobook is read by Stephen Fry
and is equally as engaging and entertaining as Jim Dale’s version.
Highly recommended.

While Jim Dale continues to do a great job and everything is wrapped up pretty well in term of both main and sub-plot resolution, this last book suffers more than the rest from pacing issues (e.g. the trio's forest travels) and numerous painfully obvious and convenient developments and coincidences that, rather bluntly, propel the story towards its conclusion. This is still an okay to solid read but was the weakest of the series insomuch as it being the final book, lacked a lot of polish and wonder that was expected of such a very fun franchise.

The movie is great. The book, even better. And the audiobook is the best way to experience this amazing story. Thank you, Jim Dale! I can proudly call myself a Potterhead thanks to your sublime narration. Highly recommended for everyone - even if you (as I once did) think a book about wizards sounds silly. It's so much more. It's funny. It's philosophical. It's adventurous. It's a testament to the power of love and family and friendship - all the good things in life.

Jim Dale is absolutely amazing. This is by far my most favorite audio book series. I have loved Harry Potter for over a decade and I didn't realize how Jim Dale's reading of the story helps it come alive in a completely new way.
