We were enjoying this video very much when suddenly the sound went haywire and we were not able to finish it........very disappointing. Please check your copies of this movie and get rid of the flawed video.

The plot and acting were excellent, and both my husband and I enjoyed this movie in spite of a couple of credibility issues. This is an easier movie to become involved in because the issues of spouse' love/ deceit and separation from your child are so near and personal, vs international intrigue or the zoned-out people living promiscuous, dead-end lives that too many "highly rated" movies of today feature. Many acting awards could have been handed out and the ending was very good, satisfying but not saccharine-sweet.

Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd are very good actors, so I ask the question, “Why do you put them in a film that emphasizes their stuntmen and stuntwomen running around, swimming, etc. when you could use them in scenes where they act?” The term Double Jeopardy, means if you are found innocent of a crime at a certain time, you cannot be retried again for that same crime committed at the same certain time. It does not mean, once you are found innocent of a crime, that you can then repeat the crime and automatically get a jail free card for the repeat. The remainder is fun, but just a little too formulaic for me.

Yes, it is a formula flick, but it seems to overcome that, and that's what I remember liking so much about this film. Yes, expect the far-fetched plot twists, but the fine acting manages to rise above it all, taking you along for an exciting ride. I would recommend this film as one of the better films that people so often categorize as time-wasters.

This is a truly stupid Hollywood movie. Its muddled plot is riddled with legal mistakes and many gross personal mistakes --- just to carry its torturous plot. Ashley Judd is miscast and far too weak and "nice" to carry her end of the plot. Tommy Lee Jones literally saves the movie with his strong and steady, if misdirected, presence. Save your time and don't watch this. It's truly annoying for any viewer with any knowledge of US law and the legal rights of citizens.

There's just something about Ashley Judd that I really enjoy watching. Paired with Tommy Lee Jones makes for an exciting movie.
