The program is exclusively focused on how the political revolution unrolled; it doesn't explain the structure of society or the economy prior to it, nor any key events leading up it (famine caused by a volcanic eruption in Iceland); it briefly mentions the intellectual changes, and very briefly mentions some of the social upheaval years into the revolution. It ends far too quickly with the account of the execution of Robispierre (whose role in the revolution is a major part of this film), so the Directorate and everything thereafter are not mentioned, nor is the sense or meaning of the revolution in French society for the remainder of the 19th century discussed.

VERY interesting and engaging! Will definitely make you a little sick, but it's so interesting you can't stop watching.

This is a VERY informative DVD about the French Revolution. There is some blood on the guillotine that drips down into the basket but otherwise no disgusting bits.
