Reed (no credentials provided) presents ten research articles and three short communications addressing language development, impairment, and training in children. Topics addressed include linguistic influence on the developmental neural basis of "theory of mind," the deferential effects of context and isolated word training on reading fluency, the electrophysiological correlates of developmental dyslexia, content and language integrated learning, selective mutism, and the early communicative channel in childhood. While the articles are well-referenced and the authors come from a variety of well-known institutions, the preface is an incomplete summary of each article's abstract and there is evidence of poor translation.
